校园安全

The Department of Safety and Protection is committed to working in collaboration with Immaculata大学 students, 教师, staff and visitors to support and advance the goals of the University through the provision of a safe and secure environment conducive to learning and personal achievement.

校园安全 and Protection provides 24-hour security on campus. 欲知更多资料, stop by the office in Lourdes Hall, 平台水平, Room 2 or call 610-854-2451 or 610-647-4400, ext. 5555.

Campus safety officers are trained in first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and are certified in the use of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED). They respond immediately to a request for medical assistance, arrange for transportation to a hospital and coordinate other emergency services as needed.

When trying to decide if we should close or remain open due to inclement weather conditions, we do our best to make these decisions in a timely fashion. For day classes we attempt to make the decision by 5:30 a.m. and for evening classes by 2:30 p.m. If the University determines that a closure is not necessary, the University may choose to operate on a modified 2-hour delayed opening schedule.

The University will use the following channels to alert you in the event the institution is closed due to weather, or other emergencies: IU警报, 社交媒体, MyIU, emergency alerts on the University website, as well as KYW 新闻 Radio and KYW Television (broadcast numbers: Day Classes–#871, 夜校——# 2871, 研究生类- # 868), and the University’s main phone number at 610-647-4400 by pressing 8 when prompted.

Immaculata大学 utilizes IU警报, a mass notification system that sends emergency notifications and timely alerts to the Immaculata大学 community. In order to receive these notifications, you must sign up—you can register two wireless devices and two emails addresses. 在这里注册IU警报.

注意: If you’ve previously signed up for e2Campus alerts, you do not need to sign up again for IU警报.
